1. About HELIO

HELIO is a mobile application developed by Havagrd AS. The app analyzes weather data and conditions such as visibility, wind, waves, lightning, cloud base, and temperature to provide a calculated probability for normal offshore helicopter traffic. The app also offers features such as flight radar with helicopter tracking, overview of rig positions, shift calendar, course overview with notifications, salary calculator, forum, and news section.

2. What Personal Information We Collect

To provide and improve the service, we collect the following information:

• Basic account information: name, email address, and password.
• Course and certificate data: information you enter yourself, including course names, expiration dates, and documentation.
• Forum activity: posts and comments you choose to publish in the app's forum.
• Usage data: information about how the app is used (for example, number of logins, which features are used most, and technical information about the device).
• Payment data: processed by third parties (we do not store card information directly).

9. Vacancy and Recruitment Data (GDPR)

Data Collected

When you use HELIO's vacancy and recruitment features, we collect and process the following additional personal data:

• CVs you create or upload, including name, contact details, work history, education, skills, and references.
• Job applications and associated cover letters or messages.
• Saved job searches and vacancy preferences.
• Your CV visibility settings (public or private).

Purpose and Legal Basis

This data is processed under GDPR Article 6(1)(a) (consent) and Article 6(1)(b) (contract performance) for the following purposes:

• Enabling you to create, store, and manage CVs for job applications.
• Transmitting your CV and application data to recruiting companies when you apply for vacancies.
• Allowing recruiters to browse publicly visible CVs when you have opted in to this feature.
• Sending you notifications about matching vacancies based on your saved searches.

Sharing with Recruiting Companies

When you apply for a vacancy, your CV and application data are shared with the recruiting company associated with that listing. If your CV is set to publicly visible, recruiters may access it without a direct application from you. Recruiting companies are independent data controllers and are responsible for their own GDPR compliance when processing your data.

Retention and Deletion

Job applications are retained for as long as the associated vacancy is active, plus a reasonable period thereafter. CVs stored in your profile remain until you delete them or close your account. You may request deletion of your application data at any time by contacting us or through your account settings.

10. Your Rights

As a user, you have the right to:

• Access what information we have about you.
• Correction of incorrect information.
• Deletion of data ("the right to be forgotten").
• Restriction or objection to processing.
• Data portability (to receive your own data).

The app is not specifically directed at children under 13 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected data about a child without parental/guardian consent, we will delete this information immediately.
